Sticky Orange Glazed Tempeh

This savory and sweet Asian inspired dish is certain to be included as one of your top easy and favorite recipes.


  • 1 cup tempeh, cooked and chopped

  • 2 cups wild rice

  • 1 orange bell pepper, chopped

  • 1 Tbsp ginger, minced

  • 2cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 Tbsp peanut oil

  • Orange Glaze Sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups water

  • 2 Tbsp orange juice, freshly squeezed

  • 1/4 cup lemon juice

  • 1/3 cup rice vinegar

  • 2 1/2 Tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 Tbsp orange zest, grated

  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar

  • 1/2 tsp ginger root, minced

  • 1/2 tsp garlic, minced

  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

  • 3 Tbsp cornstarch


  • Whisk together all orange glaze ingredients and set aside.
  • Heat oil over medium heat.
  • Add tempeh and bell peppers to the saute pan.  Saute for five minutes.
  • Then add ginger and garlic and saute until fragrant, about 1 – 2 minutes.
  • Lower heat and pour prepared orange glaze sauce over tempeh and peppers. Allow to heat through for 1 – 2 minutes. Careful not to burn.
  • Spoon tempeh over cooked rice and enjoy!
