Deliciously easy dessert and snack recipe for almond dark chocolate nice cream bites.


  • Nice Cream
  • 1 cup frozen and sliced bananas

  • 1/4 cup coconut milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup

  • Magic Shell
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil

  • Topping
  • 1/2 cup crushed almonds


  • Blend all the nice cream ingredients together then add mixture to an ice tray.
  • Stick toothpicks into each ice tray component (see video here) and allow mixture to freeze for 2 – 3 hours.
  • Once frozen make the magic shell by heating a small saucepan over medium-low heat and add dark chocolate chips and coconut oil to sauce pan. Allow to melt for about 5 – 7 minutes, stirring frequently so mixture does not burn.
  • Then take nice cream ice tray out of freezer and pop out each “nice cream stick”. Then dip into magic shell mixture and roll into crushed almonds.
  • You can serve immediately (note: nice cream will be slightly melted) or freeze again for another 1 -2 hours and serve.
