kcalDeliciously easy dessert and snack recipe for almond dark chocolate nice cream bites.
Ingredients
- Nice Cream
1 cup 1 frozen and sliced bananas
1/4 cup 1/4 coconut milk
1 tsp 1 vanilla
1 Tbsp 1 maple syrup
- Magic Shell
1/2 cup 1/2 dark chocolate chips
1 Tbsp 1 coconut oil
- Topping
1/2 cup 1/2 crushed almonds
Preparation
- Blend all the nice cream ingredients together then add mixture to an ice tray.
- Stick toothpicks into each ice tray component (see video here) and allow mixture to freeze for 2 – 3 hours.
- Once frozen make the magic shell by heating a small saucepan over medium-low heat and add dark chocolate chips and coconut oil to sauce pan. Allow to melt for about 5 – 7 minutes, stirring frequently so mixture does not burn.
- Then take nice cream ice tray out of freezer and pop out each “nice cream stick”. Then dip into magic shell mixture and roll into crushed almonds.
- You can serve immediately (note: nice cream will be slightly melted) or freeze again for another 1 -2 hours and serve.
