Ingredients
1 serving matcha powder
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 tsp maple syrup
3 tsp dried lavender leaves + more garnishing
Preparation
- Steep lavender leaves in hot water for 5 minutes. Strain leaves and set water aside.
- Sift one serving of matcha powder (~ 2 tsp) into a small bowl. Pour warm, infused lavender water into the bowl (~ 1/4 cup). Whisk until matcha is fully suspended into the liquid. You’ll want to whisk using a ‘W’ like shape with your wrist. Whisk until the mixture becomes frothy. (Note: matcha does not dissolve it simply suspends in liquid. This is why it’s important to first select high-quality grade matcha, which I’ve provided a link for above, and then to sift the matcha prior to whisking.)
- Steam milk then pour into tea cup.
- Add lavender infused matcha to milk and stir to combine.
- Garnish with dried lavender leaves and enjoy.
