These red velvet brownies are packed with protein so they make the perfect breakfast or snack.


  • 1 cup 1 rolled oats

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 water

  • 2 Tbsp 2 beetroot powder or medium beets (150-200g)*

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cooked or canned black beans

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cocoa

  • 3/4 cup 3/4 granulated coconut sugar

  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 salt

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 agar

  • 1 1/2 tsp 1 1/2 baking powder

  • 1 tsp 1 vanilla extract

  • 1/2 tsp 1/2 natural butter flavor


  • Preheat oven to 350F, spray 8×8 baking pan with non-stick spray, and set aside.
  • Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.
  • Pour into the prepared baking dish, and bake for 35 minutes. The brownies will firm up as they cool.
