The perfect sweet treat for you or your sweetheart.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond milk

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries

  • 1 cup frozen bananas

  • 1 Tbsp Beetroot powder (see notes)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp cacao nibs

Preparation

  • Blend all the ingredients in a blender except the cacao nibs.
  • Once blended add a layer of cacao nibs in the bottom of whatever glass you’re using to pour the smoothie. Then pour in the smoothie filling up the glass halfway. Add another layer of cacao nibs then pour in the remainder of the smoothie and top with cacao nibs.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • You may replace beetroot powder with a medium beet, but having this superfood on hand is a good idea. One tablespoon is equivalent to one beet and it’s a great way to add vegetables into meals or drinks you may not have thought of. Beets are packed with vitamins like fiber, potassium, iron, and vitamin C.
  • The rose petals were just for show but you can purchase them here if interested.
